We’ve been busy updating each state and brainstorming on ways to offer you even more value. Here’s our most recent changes…

#1 You can Add or Update your own profiles now. As the pace picked up, we quickly decided to give you the ability to Add and Update your own profile in each directory. We appreciate your active participation, and believe TwitterStates will be a useful tool in finding local businesses and friends in your City and State. As we’ve been saying since day one…we’re Bringing Twitter local.

#2 ‘Tweet This’ icon on each State page sends a tweet about that state with a link back to that page. Tell your Twitter friends what state you’re in! ‘Tweet This’ looks like this:

#3 ‘Tweet Me’ link on each directory listing tweets that person from your account. Tell the world how you’re ranked in your state! ‘Tweet Me’ looks like this: @cybercoder is Ranked No.3 on the Mississippi Twitter Directory http://bit.ly/14F79L

#4 Subscribing as a Premium Member will place your Twitter Avatar at the top of the Listings for your State. Your Premium Member link will be directed to your Twitter Profile.

Current Premium Member rates are $5 per month. Once your order has been processed through PayPal, please update your Profile at TwitterStates.com and we will activate your membership. Then your Premium Membership Avatar will appear at the top of the directory listing for the State you’re listed in. Please allow 24 hours for this activation.

#5 We’ve streamlined the process to make it easier than ever to advertise your local business or promote yourself on Twitter States.com. Placing your ad is quick and easy, with current advertising rates of only $20 a week for a 125×125 (pixel) ad. You the advertiser have the option of specifying where to direct the traffic when your ad is clicked.

With such a great global resource like Twitter, the small local businessman often gets overlooked.  The idea behind TwitterStates.com is to give the individual or small businessman the capability to search for local people or resources close to them, using Twitter.

TwitterStates is  bringing Twitter local by giving you local search tools, by which you can search for other Tweeps in the same state or city as you.

Showcase your Twitter account or website with a 125×125 ad on any state’s home page.  We offer two size ads;  the standard 125×125  ads are $20 for a seven day run.  If we have multiple ads, they will rotate on the right hand side of the page.

The larger ads are 300×150 and cost $30.  All ads run for seven days and then rotate from top to bottom, on the right hand margin of each page.

Your advertising dollar goes even farther because each one of your ads will appear on every page for that state, even if there’s multiple pages.

A search can be run on any state, and your ad appears at the top of each search result page, as long as you’re a current advertiser.  Our searchable database returns local results based on your keyword search.
